Science supporting Bluenesse®

Characterisation

Bluenesse® is a botanical extract obtained by water extraction of lemon balm leaves (Melissa officinalis L.), a traditional herb native to and cultivated in Europe. Specific batches of lemon balm are selected for their capacity to bind to the muscarinic M1 receptor. Bluenesse® is standardised to 6% rosmarinic acid.

Mechanism of action

Bluenesse® has affinity to muscarinic M1 receptor.
